British Wool and Willow Shroud Carrier (Shroud Stretcher/Bier)​

Handwoven using British grown willow, hazel rods and locally sourced wood (cut from trees that have fallen due to storm damage or felled for safety reasons).

 

Lined with a British wool mat, stitched securely in place using linen thread. 

 

Our shrouding boards have six strong integrated hazel handles. 

 

Supplied with calico ties that help to ensure everything is held securely in position when manoeuvring the carrier.

The central section of our shrouding boards has been designed to support the burial process and provides an even square edge the full length of the board.

Beautiful hand woven wool and willow shroud carriers made in the UK using the same traditional basketry weaving techniques that we use to create our woven wool coffins. Choose between our signature hand spun wool and twisted wool rope styles.
